慢霧在對此事件的分析中排除了 Indodax 熱錢包被駭的可能性，他們認為被駭的可能是其提款系統。區塊鏈安全公司 Cyvers 的人工智慧負責人 Yosi Hammer 向外媒《BSCN》表示，攻擊 Indodax 的模式和特徵與北韓的「拉撒路集團」（Lazarus Group）的攻擊高度相似。
